BlackBerry recently announced the latest addition to its series of most secure Android smartphones, the BlackBerry DTEK60, which is manufactured by TCL and comes with the trusted security software BlackBerry is known for.

DTEK60, the second of the DTEK series, is part of BlackBerry's new plans with secure devices. It will be able to provide enterprises and organizations with full access to the Android ecosystem and higher-end specs to help power productivity. It will come equipped with all the security features seen in BlackBerry's Android OS device have, complete with the best-in-class security patching and the DTEK by BlackBerry app that allows users to monitor and control their privacy on their phone.

In terms of specs, the DTEK60 has a 5.5” Quad HD display, made of scratch resistant glass and a 3000 mAh battery with support for memory cards up to 2TB. It also comes with the BlackBerry Fingerprint Sensor, which provides added security for unlocking your phone, accessing Password Keeper and making purchases -- including Android Pay. Add up to five fingerprints which are fully encrypted with security you can trust. The BlackBerry Intelligent Keyboard will learn from users and increase typing accuracy and speed, and can include word suggestions from three different languages. The BlackBerry DTEK60 also comes with a customizable BlackBerry Convenience Key and the BlackBerry Hub. For the camera, the DTEK60 comes with an 8MP front facing camera and a 21MP rear camera.

In terms of security measures, the DTEK60 boasts a whole spew of features. These include Rapid Security Patching, the DTEK app, Secure Boot process, Hardened Android OS, FIPS 140-2 Full Disk Encryption and Full Enterprise Mobility Management Support.

“With the DTEK60, BlackBerry continues to focus on our strengths: state-of-the-art software and security solutions. When you see our logo it means security, from our class-leading enterprise Relevant Products/Services software to devices secured by BlackBerry software,” said Ralph Pini, Chief Operating Officer and General Manager of Mobility Solutions at BlackBerry.
