Redwood Shores, Calif., June 17, 2009 - Compiere, Inc., the global leader in open source and cloud-based ERP solutions, announced today that the International Organization of Standardization (ISO) has improved productivity, streamlined business processes, and enhanced customer service with Compiere ERP. ISO is the world's largest developer and publisher of International Standards for the public and private sectors. Headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, ISO is a network of the national standards institutes in 161 countries and serves over 50,000 new customers every year.

ISO selected Compiere ERP based on its proven success in reducing business process complexities, lowering IT infrastructure costs, ease of integration with internal systems, and flexibility to make changes quickly and cost effectively utilizing Compiere's Model Driven Application Platform.

Operationally, Compiere supports 18,000 standards that are available in multiple languages and processes 5,000 customer orders per month primarily through online sales.

With Compiere, ISO now has a fully integrated application supporting marketing, direct and online sales, accounting, and purchasing activities. Compiere ERP helps to consolidate ISO's product offerings consisting of International Standards and publications and products derived from ISO Standards. Compiere is also supporting ISO's pricing structure, inventory, subscriptions services for ISO standards and magazines, as well as invoicing and all related financial processes, including accounting and purchasing. ISO worked closely with Audaxis, a Compiere Gold Partner, to customize and implement Compiere, creating an integrated system with a robust webstore and a comprehensive back-office system using Compiere ERP.

Nicolas Fleury, Director of Marketing and Communication at ISO, said, "Compiere's integrated features enabled us to replace a multi-applications sales and accounting infrastructure built with complex, costly interfaces with a unique, state-of-the-art application. Thanks to the powerful application platform model, we now have the ability to more quickly adapt our organization to a constantly changing environment and, of course, to our customers' expectations. This is critical for an international, multi-channel sales organization selling complex products worldwide."

"The global and complex nature of today's organizations requires a modern business solution based on a foundation that is easily and economically adaptable to changing business conditions," said Don Klaiss, president and CEO of Compiere. "We are delighted that ISO has attained significant benefits from their investment in Compiere ERP."

About International Organization of Standardization

International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is the world's largest developer and publisher of International Standards. ISO is a network of the national standards institutes of 161 countries, one member per country, with a Central Secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland, that coordinates the system. It is a non-governmental organization that forms a bridge between the public and private sectors. On the one hand, many of its member institutes are part of the governmental structure of their countries, or are mandated by their government. On the other hand, other members have their roots uniquely in the private sector, having been set up by national partnerships of industry associations. Therefore, ISO enables a consensus to be reached on solutions that meet both the requirements of business and the broader needs of society. (continued...)
