Nokia has unveiled three Lumia smartphones that use the new 8.1 version of Windows Phone. The handset maker also said 8.1 will be rolled out across its entire Windows Phone 8 portfolio by this summer.
None of the major browsers are impervious to focused hacker teams. All four were successfully hacked in the two-day Pwn2Own contest. Chromebook security also proved less than perfect.
A $25 Firefox OS-based smartphone was announced by the Mozilla Foundation at the Mobile World Congress. Although targeted at emerging markets, the move could affect smartphone pricing worldwide.
Silent Circle and GeeksPhone have joined forces to build a privacy-centered Android smartphone called Blackphone. The two companies plan to show the phone at Mobile World Congress next month.
